Be suspicious of any emails asking you to contribute money to the Trump campaign

If you have been receiving suspicious emails soliciting contributions to Donald Trump’s campaign for president, they are almost certainly bogus if they do not reference Trump’s campaign website,

If you would like to contribute to Trump’s campaign, I suggest you do it directly by clicking on the link to his website,

In the upper right corner you will see the prompt, “DONATE.” Click on that prompt and you will be taken to the secure donation page.

If you receive a request to donate to Donald Trump’s campaign, be very suspicious. The Donald has never asked me for a dime. I donate what I can afford monthly to his campaign, but I do it on my own. He has asked for nothing. Thoroughly check out any email you receive from anyone who claims to be associated with the Trump campaign.

A major shout out to Powdered Wig reader, Joe LaVeque, for this warning. Joe has pointed out two known bogus sites attempting to make money by claiming to be associated with the Trump campaign. They are not associated with Donald Trump, as Joe points out below.

“Dear (your name here) We’re fed up with the complete neglect and carelessness Obama’s administration has shown for our country.

Enough is enough. It’s time to rally together and stop Crooked Hillary before it’s too late.

Right now, we are $742,368 away from our campaign end-of-quarter goal.

Trust me when I say: Donald J. Trump will turn this country around. But, we need your help to get him in the White House.

Contribute $100, $50 or even $35 right now to reach our FEC end-of-quarter goal and crush Crooked Hillary. Thank you for your support.
