The progressive liberal Democrats will often cry racism towards those who disagree with them, but any student of history knows that the Democrats themselves are the racist ones.
The Democrats who worship at the feet of big government use the race card to silence and shame their opposition. They use race hustlers to promote a culture of victimhood, then advocate for government programs as the solution, when in reality the government programs perpetuate poverty and racism. It becomes an endless cycle.
But conservatives and libertarians don’t see color, and instead look at individuals, ideology and principles.
Democrats will continue to make race a wedge issue, and use it to their advantage at every opportunity. But it becomes a double standard most of the time, and can sometimes backfire on them. Take for example comments made a couple of years ago by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus:
(H/T The Hill)
“If [former President] Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House,” Cleaver told “The Miami Herald” in comments published Sunday. “There is a less-volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president.”
Members of the CBC have expressed concern about the high unemployment rate in the black community, and are disturbed by the lack of attention or action to address it coming from the Obama administration.
“We’re supportive of the president, but we getting tired, y’all,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said in August. “We want to give [Obama] every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is.”
But, rather than focus on Obama and pressure him to address their concerns, they instead turn to hurling charges of racism and insults at the Tea Party and Republicans.
Of course, the obvious hypocrisy and double standards are completely lost on the Democrats and CBC. Like the race hustlers that they are and that they employ, they will continue to push a race-baiting and victimized agenda, promoting ever more government as the solution to the government created problems.
All is not lost though, as some members of the black community have begun to see through the charade. After the 2014 State of the Union speech, a rebuttal was offered by a group of black activists from Chicago, telling Obama to “just quit”. No friends of conservatives or the Tea Party, these activists realize that all of the problems facing Chicago rest squarely on the shoulders of Democrats, and have grown tired of the empty promises, rhetoric, destructive policies and the blame game played by Obama and the rest of the Dems.
