Florida Textbook Promotes Islam While Ignoring Christianity and Judaism

Last year, we heard about the pro-Islamic curriculum, CSCOPE, that was brainwashing students throughout the state of Texas.  The CSCOPE curriculum taught that Allah was God Almighty and contained other Islamic teaching while ignoring any teaching of Christianity or Judaism.  The curriculum also contained a lot of socialistic teachings and downplayed American history and patriotism including labeling the Boston Tea Party as an act of terrorism.  The public and political outcry was so great that the CSCOPE curriculum was pulled from use until it can be satisfactorily re-written.

Now we hear of a similar thing happening in Florida.  The Prentice World History textbook, approved to be used in Broward County schools contains a 36 page chapter on Islam.  The problem is that it does not contain any chapters on Christianity or Judaism or teach their roles in history.  Furthermore, the section of Islam alters history so as to not insult the Muslim religion.

Florida State Rep. Ritch Workman (R-Melbourne) says the book is ‘remarkably one sided’ and that the authors ‘make a very obvious attempt not to insult Islam by reshaping history.’  He went to comment about the textbook, saying:

“If you don’t see it from the eyes of a parent, kids are going to take this book as gospel and believe that Christians and Jews were murderous barbarians and thank God the Muslims came along and the world is great.”

“Here’s an example: Muhammad and his armies’ take-over of Medina states depicted ‘people happily accept[ing of] Islam as their way of life’. It leaves out that tens of thousands of Jews and non-believers were massacred by [Muhammad’s] armies. It’s a blatant deception.”

The textbook says that Jesus claimed to be the Messiah but Muhammad was the prophet.  It teaches about the pillars of Islam and the Koran.  Workman states:

“They don’t do that for Christianity.  That is offensive to me.”

In response to the concerns of Workman and others, the publisher states that there is no biased in the textbook, even though the publisher hired a Muslim cleric to write the section on Islam.  It appears that they neglected to hire anyone to write a section on Christianity or Judaism or hire anyone to proof the clerics work for historical accuracy.

Amy Kneessy, a school board member is also concerned about the textbook and the overt Islamic bias.  She commented:

“Some of the descriptions of the battles use the word ‘massacre’ when it’s a Christian battle and ‘takeover’ when it’s a Muslim battle.  In young minds, massacre paints a very different visual picture than a takeover or occupation — when in fact both battles were very bloody.”

Muslims have no intention of conquering the US by means of war or violence, rather they plan to use subterfuge and brainwashing of gullible Americans into accepting their ways.  They started by slowly moving into certain communities until Americans wake up and discover that the Muslim are so plentiful that they have taken over the local government, like Dearborn, Michigan.  They infiltrate the schools and publishers of textbooks to re-write history and promote Islam while teaching that Christianity and Judaism are the evil religions.  Once in power, they begin changing the laws and exerting their intolerance of non-Muslims.  They get a Muslim (Barack Hussein Obama) elected to the White House where further changes are made to America’s laws and culture.  The next thing you know, America has become one nation under Allah.

Not only do parents in Broward County, but parents in every other public school district in the nation need to find out what their kids are being taught.  Do you know what their textbooks say?  Do you know what their teachers are teaching them?  If you don’t think it’s that big of deal or danger, just look at the overwhelming liberal and socialist views today’s young people have.  Where do you think they learned them?
