Jason Chaffetz Now Says he’ll Vote for Trump

A top Republican congressman confirmed Wednesday night that he would vote for GOP nominee Donald Trump after previously withdrawing his endorsement over crude remarks the real estate mogul made about women.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, the chair of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said that he would vote for Trump because Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton “is bad for the USA.”

Earlier this month, Chaffetz said that he “can no longer endorse Donald Trump for the presidency” after audio emerged of Trump bragging about inappropriately touching women during a 2005 conversation with “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush.

Chaffetz described the remarks as “abhorrent and offensive.”

Chaffetz’s fellow Utahn, Sen. Mike Lee, called on Trump to withdraw from the presidential race after the recording was made public.
