Donald Trump Met With New York’s RLI Fellows At Trump Tower
Today, Donald Trump will meet with New York fellows from the RNC’s leadership training program, the Republican Leadership Initiative. Selected from more than 20,000 applicants, fellows are the backbone of the RNC’s permanent field operation.
The Republican Leadership Initiative takes fellows through six weeks of hands-on training, providing them with the organizational skills critical in developing an extensive volunteer network. Months before Hillary Clinton even began organizing, the RNC was able to establish a presence in communities across the country through RLI.
The program has proven to be an incredibly effective tool for reaching out to voters and encouraging volunteer participation much earlier in the election cycle than ever before. From this initiative, many highly trained and motivated young leaders are now able to strengthen and grow the party for years to come.
New York City’s RLI office, opened in March of 2016, has acted as a focal point from which to recruit and place fellows in battleground states. The New York RLI fellows are excited to meet with Donald Trump at Trump Tower and are ready to help take back the White House in November.
