Trump White House Chief: “We’re Not Interested In Going To War All Over The World”

Putin: Obama has sunk to ‘kitchen diplomacy’.

As the Obama administration is spending its last hours in power doing its best to provoke Russia and Israel, the incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus assured Americans that President Trump is only interested in “having relationships” with other nations, rather than conflicts.

Appearing on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor Thursday, Priebus spoke to the sanctions Obama announced against Russia in retaliation for claims that the nation played a part in hacking DNC emails.

”I’m not sure what they know, Eric. I mean, they may be privy to information that we don’t know. But I also know that, you know, we’re not interested in going to war all over the world, either.” Priebus said.

“I think having relationships, building relationships, making things better for Americans is something that President-Elect Trump believes in.” the incoming official continued.

Priebus assured viewers that Trump would build on the post Cold War relationship that was built between the US and Russia in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

“Look, you know, we have a long history with Russia. Ronald Reagan used his relationship with Miguel Gorbachev I think to the great benefit of Americans across the country. Ending the Cold War, bringing down the wall in Berlin and achieving an incredible amount of success by using relationships in order to get things done.” Priebus noted.

“And so I think that’s something we are going to try to do. It’s something that President-Elect Trump believes in. And quite frankly, it’s all about putting America first and that’s what we want to do and that’s what he wants to do.” he added.

Priebus was also asked to comment on whether Trump would attempt to reverse damaging actions taken by Obama with regards to Israel and Russia.

“That’s going to be up to him and he is going to sit down and talk to his leadership at the Defense Department and State and in the White House and make those decisions. But look it will be a different day.” Priebus urged.

In a separate appearance on “Hannity,” Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway gave her reaction to the sanctions, suggesting that Obama is attempting to ‘box-in’ Trump before he takes office.

“I hope this isn’t motivated by politics even a little bit.” Conway stated.

Thankfully, Russian President Vladimir Putin understands that Obama’s actions were a provocation, and has refused to sink to Obama’s level, issuing a statement saying “we will not resort to the level of irresponsible ‘kitchen diplomacy.’”

Putin noted that any diplomatic engagements with the US are now on hold until Trump takes office.
