Actor James Woods Reveals ‘BEST Solution’ For Scalia’s Replacement – People Are LOVING It
When actor James Woods learned of Antonin Scalia’s passing, the conservative Republican actor immediately posted a photo on Twitter of Scalia with the caption, “A bulwark against the rampant liberal assault on the Constitution. A great American. #RIP #AntoninScalia.”
The recently deceased Supreme Court justice has arguably created just as much controversy with his death as he did when he served as a justice on the world’s most powerful court.
The race to replace Scalia is fueling the current political climate. CBS News called Scalia’s replacement on Monday “one of the president’s most important jobs.”
Woods, among others, is weighing in on the process.

Woods reminded Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid exactly how hard getting President Barack Obama’s nominee confirmed will be when he tweeted, “Dear @HarryReid, remember the ‘nuclear option?’ Karma is a cruel mistress…” Reid helped change the rules to allow for a simple majority to approve nominees who had been filibustered. Now, a simple filibuster can approve or, in the case of Scalia’s replacement, disapprove of any Obama nominee.
Woods followed the tweet with another addressed to Reid: “Chickens will come home to roost, @HarryReid.”
The actor then tweeted a roadmap for Senate Republicans to follow when Obama nominates a successor to Scalia: “This could not be simpler: absolutely do not confirm an #Obama SCOTUS nominee. Don’t discuss it; just ignore him, as he does the law.”
Woods followed his suggestion with another tweet: “He can name whomever he wishes. The Senate can likewise not approve. That is the Constitution. #NoRevisionism.” He essentially echoed Scalia’s constitutionalist positions and intimated the next replacement could very well lead to a revision of the Constitution.
The fight for the vacant Supreme Court position is underway, with many weighing in on what CBS News referred to as an “apocalyptic” fight to replace Scalia.
