Krauthammer, who not long ago called Donald Trump a rodeo clown, He now admits he was wrong
I used to be a Foxaholic. Fox News was what was on TV at my house, unless of course I was being outranked by my wife, and Dancing With The Stars happened to be on. By the way, I would rather be beaten with a 2 x 4 than be forced to watch Dancing With The Stars.
Fox was my go-to news source.
I stopped watching Fox completely the night of August 6, 2015, when Megyn Kelly showed her ass on national television, attacking Donald Trump with questions involving Rosie O’Donnell being a fat pig, and other personal attacks which were as relevant to a presidential debate as the final score of the most recent Super Bowl.
But even before Megyn Kelly embarrassed herself and Fox News that night in early August, I was already seeing and hearing things on Fox that were causing me to view my favorite news channel from a different perspective.
Immediately upon entering the race for President of the United States, Donald Trump was attacked at every opportunity by certain personalities at Fox, most notably Bush lackey, Dana Perino, who rolled her eyes or laughed at the mere mention of Trump’s name, and Charles Krauthammer, who called Trump a “joke” and then in his brainless tirade, below, (beginning at the :50 mark) erroneously accuses The Donald of calling all immigrants rapists: “….he did not make a distinction between ‘legal’ and ‘illegal’ immigrants when he said an entire immigrant group are rapists.”
Brett Baier quickly corrects him on the point, but no matter, Sauerkrauthammer ignores him, and continues his rant without skipping a beat: “That’s his entire campaign, all of our problems are from Mexico, from China, from Saudi Arabia,” concluding that “this is the strongest field of Republican candidates in 35 years. You could pick a dozen of them at random and have the strongest cabinet America has had in our lifetime, and instead all of our time is spent discussing this…. rodeo clown,” which was fellow faux intellectual George Will’s cue to pile on: “Do we really want the World Wrestling Federation atmosphere in the Oval Office?”
Now, look at the difference nine months makes. The daily personal attacks by the so-called pundits, calling Trump an “entertainer,” a “professional wrestler,” a “racist,” a “mysogynist,” have left them like deer in the headlights, as we all, together, are watching the primary season unfold and despite enemies on both sides of the aisle, and on Wall Street and K Street, and throughout the media, Trump has dominated the news, the polls, the delegates, and packed tens of thousands of sick-and-tired patriots into football stadiums.
Watch the video, below, as Sauerkrauthammer finally concedes, admitting he was wrong. “I think the Democrats who thought six months ago that he was a joke, I thought he was a joke, as a nominee for the Republican Party, and a lot of people thought as well, and we were all wrong.”
Kudos to Charles Krauthammer for finally getting it and admitting it. And they said Trump was out of touch!
