Trump Campaign Has No Plans to Fire Anyone Over Melania Speech Flap

Katie Pavlich,

Cleveland, OH - The Trump campaign has issued a statement to CNN surrounding the controversy over Melania Trump’s plagiarized RNC convention speech last night in Cleveland: Nobody is getting fired.

Donald Trump and his children are reportedly furious with the campaign team, particularly head honcho Paul Manafort, over the incident. Melania is also reportedly enraged.

Fired Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski — who is reportedly still getting paid and a part of the candidate’s inner circle — is now calling for the resignation of his erstwhile rival Paul Manafort, the man who vanquished him in an intense internal power struggle. See the MSNBC clip below for additional context. On RNC day two, the knife is plunged:

Here’s today’s groan-worthy spin, followed by a “wow” report from Morning Joe’s team, detailing the backstory to all of this, and the internal sniping within the Trump campaign. For what it’s worth, the RNC Chairman thinks the plagiarism is ‘probably‘ a fireable offense:

“What she did was use words that are common words,” Paul Manafort, explaining away plagiarism in Melania Trump’s convention.

IF Melania wrote this speech herself there is no one to blame or fire. IF she DID have help, I’d say this was a set up to embarrass the Trump family. Trump has had people he trusted in his campaign before try to stab him in the back. Politics is a filthy, dirty business.
