Intel Head Reveals Chilling New Capability ISIS Has INSIDE U.S.
The Islamic State group is capable of carrying out Paris-style attacks within the borders of the United States.
At least, that’s what Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said.
In an interview with CNN, Clapper revealed that the radicals have the ability to use cells throughout the U.S. to create “dozens of casualties.”
“That’s something we worry about a lot in the United States, that they could conjure up a raid like they did in Paris or Brussels.”
In the same interview, President Barack Obama told CNN that the U.S. does not face the same threat level as Europe does, but didn’t say that such an attack was impossible. He said that thwarting attacks like Brussels and Paris were a significant challenge to U.S. intelligence officials.
National Security Advisor Susan Rice didn’t have too much to say on the matter, stating that the administration would do its “utmost” to prevent such an attack regardless of the Islamic State group’s capability.
Well, that’s reassuring.
Clapper said last week that the terrorists had cells in the U.K., Germany and Italy, and that U.S. intelligence “continues to see evidence” that the Islamic State group has been working to do additional harm in those nations.
Of course, the United States does have one advantage that, although heavily criticized by the left, might come in handy come a terrorist crisis: the right to keep and bear arms.
Imagine what Paris would have been like with just a half dozen concealed carriers in the terrorists’ midst.
