Mike Huckabee Makes Announcement That Has Trump Grinning Ear-To-Ear

Former Arkansas governor and 2016 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee delivered a stunning warning this week to Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton that likely had GOP front-runner Donald Trump grinning from ear to ear.

Specifically, he warned that Trump would be Clinton’s “worst nightmare” in the general election because of his ability to pull in Democrats and independents.

“I’m not sure what they’re smoking over there in the Clinton camp,” Huckabee said during an interview with Politico.

“Everybody said Donald Trump wouldn’t come, they said he couldn’t get past August or the early controversies,”

he continued in regard to the front-runner, whom many have compared to former President Ronald Reagan. 

 

“Well, he’s outlasted all of us, and I think they’re gonna underestimate Donald Trump’s candidacy at their own peril.”

Huckabee reportedly made the remarks in response to what Clinton’s top strategist and pollster Joel Benenson had said a day earlier, when he predicted that Trump couldn’t win the general election against his boss.

“I don’t see any state that Democrats have won five out of six times, or six out of six times, that Trump, you know, at face value, poses a threat in,” the overly cocky pollster said. “I just don’t see it.”

Either he suffers from blindness or delusions of grandeur, because Trump’s unprecedented performance in the primary elections — as well as his soaring popularity among blue-collar Democrats — make it clear that he in fact poses a very real threat to Clinton’s bid for the White House.

Moreover, even David Plouffe, who managed President Barack Obama’s successful campaign in 2008, agreed.

“He’s clearly bringing people into the process, and Democrats better be very mindful of that because at the end of the day to win a presidential election you have to maximize your turnout,” he warned on Tuesday evening.

 

The more Clinton and her team underestimate Trump, the more likely it becomes that he will decimate them in the general election — and that would be a really good thing for America.
