Left Blames Second Amendment for California Shootings

May 25, 2022 chris

Radfems poised to urge state action against gun owners and an intangible patriarchy

The Elliot Rodger shooting spree in California is a godsend for progressives. It not only allows the left to push its authoritarian anti-Second Amendment gun-grabbing agenda, but also provides a forum for radical feminism. Not surprisingly the Southern Poverty Law Center has managed to link the shooting to racism, another rallying call for the progressive left.

“Rodger, however, apparently did not only hate women. His PuaHate postings include rants against interracial dating and black, Asian and Indian men,” writes Josh Glassteller the SPLC’s Hatewatch. PuaHate is a web forum dedicated to revealing “the scams, deception, and misleading marketing techniques used by dating gurus and the seduction community to deceive men and profit from them,” but reportedly devolved into a messageboard where men expressed frustration in failed efforts to date and have sex with beautiful women.

Left unmentioned is the fact Rodger described himself as a “Eurasian” because his father was British and his mother Asian. This fact is not a good fit for the SPLC, an organization notorious for fear mongering white supremacy and neonazism. The racial characteristic of the shooter, however, did not prevent the SPLC from exploiting the shooting to draw attention to its agenda primarily focused on demonizing the so-called radical right and exaggerating the threat of an infinitesimal number of avowed white suprmacists.

The SPLC has since cobbled together a political motivation for the shootings, an effort more in line with its agenda. “Rodger appeared to view himself as something of an incel revolutionary,” Glassteller wrote on Saturday. PuaHate.com members, according to the SPLC writer, “frequently identify themselves as ‘incels’ – short for involuntary celibate – and engage in misogynistic attacks on women.” Instead of portraying Rodger’s posts as the rantings of a narcissistic and mentally ill individual, the SPLC suggests “incel revolutionaries” are capable of political violence like that threatened by white supremacists and sovereign citizens.

In an effort to underscore the threat posed by incels, Glassteller cites a post by Rodgers. “One day incels will realize their true strength and numbers, and will overthrow this oppressive feminist system,” Rodgers posted. “Start envisioning a world where WOMEN FEAR YOU.” In addition to Rodger’s postings, the SPLC mentions the ramblings of other PuaHate.com members to make the point sexually frustrated males represent a threat.

Elizabeth Plank, writing for PolicyMic, argues the shooting was not an isolated incident by a mentally ill individual. It represents a more politically significant hate crime.

“What happened in Santa Barbara is nothing less than a hate crime, and yet mainstream news outlets are distilling the issue to ‘mental illness’ and ‘premeditated mass murder.’ Although we should be shocked by Elliot Rodger’s actions, we should not be surprised. In fact, most school shootings share chillingly similar characteristics. It’s time we stop treating these incidents as anomalies and start recognizing the deep societal issues at play,” Plank writes.

Plank writes that mass shooters are white males and most of victims are female. She cites statistics compiled by the Radfem Groundhog Day to make her point. “Misogyny as motive or evidenced factors in a significant number of school shootings,” the blog concludes.

Plank promoted her article with a twitter describing misogyny as a serious social problem:

What Elliot Rodger Said About Women Reveals Why We Need to Stamp Out…

By Elizabeth Plank @feministabulous

The YouTube video the UC Santa Barbara shooter left behind is a chilling reminder of the real-life costs of sexism.

“This is what the Men’s Rights Movement teaches its members,” a radfem blog in Canada explains. “Especially vulnerable, lonely young men who have a hard time relating to women. It teaches them that women, and especially feminist women, are to blame for their unhappiness. It teaches them that women lie, that they cheat, trick and manipulate. It teaches them that men as a social class are dominant over women and that they are entitled to women’s bodies. It teaches them that women who won’t give them what they want deserve some kind of punishment.”

As evidence members of a supposed “Men’s Rights Movement” represent a threat to women and feminism, Plank included this screen capture:

Elliot Rodger’s psychosis will feed the ongoing effort to disarm and render helpless millions of Americans who are not complicit in his crime and do not pose a threat. It will also afford more attention to a small yet radical feminist movement and its demand that the state react in political and collectivist ways to instances of violence against women. Left unmentioned in the argument because it undermines the feminist rationale about male violence against women is the fact men are three times more likely to be murdered than women.
