It was recently announced that Trey Gowdy’s Benghazi Select Committee will begin holding hearings in September, and the American people can’t wait, as there is massive support for his investigation.
Gowdy has also confirmed that he will call former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to testify, even if he has to subpoena her. This has Hillary and her supporters horrified at what might be found out.
Trey Gowdy is doggedly determined to discover the truth of Benghazi and to see justice served. He has challenged the mainstream media over their failure to do such, and has reluctantly taken it upon himself to do their job.
Trey Gowdy has had some amazing quotes from many of the memorable hearings he has taken part in. Please take a few moments to watch the following clip of Gowdy during a House Oversight Committee, where he puts the pieces of the puzzle together, ultimately settling on the fact that Hillary Clinton bears responsibility for what happened in Benghazi.
“I’m trying to reconcile the fact that Benghazi wasn’t safe enough for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to go, but it was safe enough to leave a below-spec facility for our diplomats to stay in. I’m just trying to reconcile those two points. It’s too dangerous for the Bureau, trained law enforcement specialists, but it’s just fine for diplomats.”
Based on both men’s testimony, “We are able to show that [Ambassador Stevens] went to Benghazi because of Secretary Clinton, and Benghazi was still open, despite the fact that it was below spec, because of Secretary Clinton,” said Gowdy.
“”All three of you have made a compelling case today on why it is important for the government to tell the truth to it’s own citizens. So you made the case why it’s important to tell the truth to other countries, and you made the case for why you have to tell the truth to your own citizens.”
“So if anyone wants to know what difference does it make, anyone wants to ask what difference does it make, it always matters whether or not you can trust your government. And to the families, we are gonna find out what happened in Benghazi, and I don’t give a damn whose career is impacted, we are going to find out what happened.”
As usual, Gowdy hits it out of the park. He is absolutely correct, the truth must be discovered, regardless of whose career or legacy may be ruined. Perhaps some people should think about their future careers or past legacy before conducting criminal behavior, like covering up misdeeds or negligence.
If there is anyone who can dig up the truth about Benghazi that has been buried by the Obama administration, it is Trey Gowdy. He isn’t afraid of the Left, and brushes off their attacks, maintaining his credibility, which was built upon his undefeated record as a prosecutor, as well as his devotion to truth and transparency.
