The automatic “Pinging” feature in WordPress is extremely powerful – if you know how to use it. Fortunately, it’s very easy to setup once, and benefit from it every time you post new content or update existing content going forward. Plus, I’ve done all of the hard work for you in finding and testing this list and can tell you this is extremely effective as “Pinging” goes.
To update your “Ping Sites” URL list do the following:
1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard
2. Click on the “Settings” Menu and then the “Writing” Sub-Menu
3. Delete any existing “Ping Site” URLs (including Pingomatic which is the only one you’ll see if you’ve never touched this section – but that one will be added back in the new list together with the rest of the “Ping List” URLs.
4. Copy/Paste the “Ping Site” URLs below into the text box
Note: After you’ve pasted the list of “Ping Site” URLs check to make sure that each URL is on a separate line with no spaces in between or it will not work!
5. Click “Save Changes” button and you are done!
