Anthony Weiner (aka Carlos Danger) disgraced again

I don’t suppose it will matter very much to the degenerate Democrat political culture that was seriously considering him as the next mayor of New York City, but it turns out Anthony Weiner sent even more lewd text messages to at least one woman who was not his wife, after he resigned from Congress in disgrace back in 2011.  Images of his crotch were once again involved.  He used an alias named “Carlos Danger.”  His appetite for humiliating both his wife and prospective constituents appears boundless.

Weiner didn’t come clean about any of this voluntarily.  He was caught by a website called The Dirty, which refers to the recipient of Weiner’s lewd messages as “the victim.”  The Victim claims her online relationship with Anthony Carlos Danger Weiner ran from July to November 2012.  There was allegedly some phone sex, and talk of feathering a love nest in Chicago.  He even promised to get her some kind of blogging job at Politico.  Surprisingly, he never got around to offering her an ObamaCare waiver.

In April 2013, “Carlos” evidently started feeling frisky again, and tried to re-open a dialogue by sending a New York Times article about his mayoral race to The Victim, who evidently decided enough was enough.  By the way, she says she is 22 years old.

After six hours of refusing to comment, Weiner finally admitted that at least some of the messages related by The Dirty are indeed his (ahem) handiwork, but deployed a Modified Limited Benghazi Hangout by declaring the whole thing “old news” because he long ago warned that more embarrassing material would probably turn up.  From USA Today:

“I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have,” Weiner said in a statement. “These things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress.”

“While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong,” Weiner said. “This behavior is behind me. I’ve apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness. I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption that this has caused. As my wife and I have said, we are focused on moving forward.”

It’s not as if these new shameful messages are ancient files pulled from some dusty server.  If The Victim’s account is accurate, he did this stuff after he gave his big mea culpa speech and resigned from Congress.  In fact, Weiner was supposed to be in a much-ballyhooed “recovery program” while he was sexting a woman young enough to be his daughter.  Warning that more lewd messages would probably be discovered doesn’t give him a license to create them. (As the statement from Weiner above implies, he seems like he’s considering a challenge to parts of his accuser’s story, but she and The Dirty crew seem confident he’ll lose that battle.)

But of course, it’s not necessary to explain any of that to an adult human being.  Anthony Weiner is a reckless liar who can’t stop even when he gets caught stone cold, and anyone who would consider putting him in charge of anything needs therapy.
